With the academic foundation in Finance and Business Management from Keele University and early corporate experience in Agilent Technologies, I began my journey in the financial services industry in 2012. Over the years, I have been privileged to qualify for multiple international conventions, industry recognitions, and exclusive AIA events across countries such as India, China, Japan, South Africa, and more. My commitment to professionalism and client service has allowed me to achieve milestones including MDRT Experience, numerous Star Conventions, and the 10 Years Anniversary Award. In 2022, I advanced to the role of Elite Premier Leader (EPL) \u2013 Assistant Unit Manager, followed by my promotion to Elite Premier Leader Pro (EPL PRO) \u2013 Unit Manager in 2023. Most recently, I was honoured with the 2024 EPL Million Star Award \u2013 1 Star. Every achievement reflects my dedication to delivering quality financial planning and long-term value to my clients. My name is Khavelashy Kunasegaran and I would like to regale you with a story of my journey in <b>AIA's Elite Academy<\/b>.\n\nMy first job after I graduated from university was in the Audit field. After working in an audit firm for a couple of months, I quickly realized that I was slowly losing interest due to the heavy demands, taxing work and the long overtime shifts that would usually drag on into the late AM. I knew immediately that the audit route was not the path for me as I preferred a job with more flexible timing so that I would be able to spend more time with my precious family. \nNothing stood out to me at first until one day I noticed an ad by Hon Jeh Group, intrigued with the description, I applied and that was when my journey started. The response was quite fast and within a couple of days, I was invited to the office to attend the preliminary interview.\n\nIn Elite Lite I was tasked to attend various training sessions. The training sessions were both fun and engaging as I was able to interact and bond with other agents from different agencies and expand my knowledge on the various topics of discussion.\n\nI first went into <b>Elite Lite<\/b> with the mindset to convert to the <b>Elite Pro program<\/b> within the first three months. To my surprise, I was able to achieve that! With that achievement comes rewards and I am proud to say that I will be going to Bangkok next year! It truly pays off to see all your hard work being recognized.\n\nTo be honest I used to have a misconception about the insurance industry, I did not understand the importance of it at that time. The more I learn the more confident I am in my decision. I go to work on time and get off work on time. I can go home on time to accompany my children. But in fact, what I encountered was that one company was worse than another, working overtime all day, without overtime pay, and the salary was only RM2000. I felt that I could not accept such a life in the future. At that time, I meet my leader (DAPHNE CHONG) and saw her changes, so I choose a different industry.
